The Irish have great fun trying to find a link, however ridiculous or vague, between the American president and Ireland. Already they’re saying that Obama is descended . . . more

Describe Yourself:Currently working as a department manager with ASDA, the UK's branch of Wal*Mart, but this could change in the next few weeks due to serious changes in the workplace. Outgoing, wicked sense of humour (though not crude - can't stand muck). Love talking to people. I believe everyone has something to say and it's an honour to listen to them.

I know what you mean, Gerad...it was like that in Altrincham, too. Constant rain. As a writer, I appreciate the inspiration such gloom can bring, but sometimes, it can get a bit old!

As we approach the day of Thanks
I think more often, my friends, of you
I hope you see the beautiful gifts
that are here from which you may choose.
These gifts are the true blessings
given from God above
and I will gladly share them with you
these are faith, hope, honesty, and love.
Peace, Mercy, and many Blessings

Dave Flynn... he is a Half Iroquois and half Irish man from New York... his father came from Dublin at age four..and grew up in New York City... went off to World War II and fought in the south pacific at Guadalcanal I think... and there met a native american man and befriended him...and later met the man's sister and married her.
Dave may be half native american but he looks Irish... sort of red brown hair and blue eyes...his sister looks native american.
I will tell Dave about your book. He loves his Irish background.
Blessings, Isis PS. my relatives were named O'conner...they came a long long time ago this country. My mother's name was Patsy Maureen O'conner. I also have a good friend from Boston.. Francis Sullivan.

Well, if it's any consolation, it has been cold, rainy, and dreary here in DC too this weekend -- and this place isn't half as charming as Wales!

Gerad,
First read Invisible Hand and all will be revealed.
It's a novel about a solution to most of the world's problems. Very outside the box but there are those who say it's also a fun read.
Needless to say I would be pleased if you would read it. :-)
